Instrument Technician

Job Title: Instrument Technician Duration: Long term assignment Schedule: Full Time / Rotational Location: Offshore Senegal This opportunity sits within the maintenance function, supporting the safe and efficient operation of instrumentation, control equipment and safety systems in an FLNG environment. The role focuses on first line maintenance, calibration, fault reporting and system reliability across utility and production equipment. This position offers the chance to contribute directly to plant availability, operational safety and maintenance performance in a technically demanding offshore setting. Required Education: Engineering degree in electrical and electronic discipline or equivalent Required Experience: At least two years of experience in control and instrumentation maintenance and operation for process or utility systems in a petrochemical environment, or two years of experience in a similar role onboard an LNG carrier Experience working on fixed installations, FPSOs, FSRUs or LNG carriers Required Skills: Operation and maintenance of instrumentation, control equipment and safety systems First line maintenance within designated limits of competence, including fault identification and reporting to support plant availability Implementation of system isolations in accordance with ISSOW and relevant electrical and mechanical authorisation levels Inspection, checking and maintenance of instrumented systems associated with utility and production equipment in compliance with CMMS Accurate recording of maintenance tasks and equipment history in CMMS Routine checking and calibration of fire and gas systems and equipment Monitoring equipment parameters, alarms and machinery condition, with prompt escalation of irregularities Efficient use of spare parts and identification of spares deficiencies Clear shift handover and reporting in line with operational procedures and instructions Commitment to safe work practices, housekeeping and environmental protection Required Certifications: Recognised certificate in Instrumentation and Control or equivalent Certificate or proof of personnel competence for work on EX certified systems Safety training courses and medical certificate in accordance with company and continental shelf authority requirements for the operating area About Airswift: Airswift is an international workforce solutions provider within the energy, process and infrastructure industries.
